CAS-ual Fridays March Release Blog Hop!

Hello, hello!   We are doing something different this month for CAS-ual Fridays new release - we are having a big blog hop with the whole design team as well as some special guests!!   There will be prizes galore, so be sure to comment on each blog for a chance to win one of FIVE $20 CFS gift certificates - and comment on the CFS blog for a chance at a $50 gift certificate!!   Wowza!

OK - so on to my projects!   My very favorite of the new release is up first - this card uses the new release stamp sets Floating & So Pretty .

I used an oldie but goodie technique here - Joseph's Coat.  To do it, I sponged a bunch of different colors of Catherine Pooler inks onto white cardstock.   Next I heat embossed the hot air balloons from floating with clear embossing powder.  After it cooled for a few seconds, I swiped the CP Black ink direct to paper over the entire piece.

The end result is so gorgeous and vivid!   I took it a step further, and removed the shiny embossing by lifting it with a warm iron (I covered the panel with a plain piece of paper and ironed over it to remove the powder).   I combined sentiments from the two stamp sets and heat embossed them in white.

My next card uses Rad & Modern Petals.  This set is going to be awesome for all those masculine cards that are SOOOOO difficult to create, lol!!

The Modern Petals set is a lot of fun to play with - the color combinations are endless!

For my last card, I used a sentiment from So Pretty stamped with a Hero Arts Ombre ink pad.   The stars are from Twinkle.

I added a little sparkle to this one with Nuvo Drops, Spectrum Noir sparkle marker & glitter tape!
