CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Pear Tree Fri-Dies

Hi there!   It's the final day of inspiration using the CAS-ual Fridays October release, and today I've got my favorite card of the release to share with you!!   Woo-hoo!
We're introducing the companion Fri-die to the previoulsy released Partridge in a Pear Tree stamp set, and this die is FAB-U-LOUS!    Look at all those tiny bits that you no longer have to fussy cut out, lol!
I cut off the gift box base so I could just use the tree portion.   I colored it in with Copic markers and added some glitter to the pears and Glossy Accents to both the bird and the pears.   I stamped the sentiment (I cut it apart) at the top and added a twine bow.

I love how simple this card is, but that tree makes such an impact!   Love!   Thanks for checking out all of the CAS-ual Fridays release posts this past week - remember that you can use the code KIMBERLYSENTME to save 15% on your entire order (including new release items!) at CAS-ual Fridays!

Have a wonderful weekend!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Naughty'isms

Hello again!   Today we're sharing projects made with the adorable new Naughty'isms stamps & Naughty Fri-Dies from CAS-ual Fridays.   I just loooove the sentiments included in this stamp set and can't wait to use each and every one of them!
I stamped one of the dogs from the Nate & Friday stamp set and fussy cut him out.   I adhered him to a card panel I had embossed with snowflakes, and added a gift (die cut with the Naughty Fri-Dies) with a piece of foam adhesive.

I added the sentiment strip and that gorgeous large sentiment with some liquid adhesive to complete the card.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today!   We have one more day of inspiration for you tomorrow, so be sure to stop back to see my favorite card of the release!   See you soon!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Merry Christmas & Happy Hannukah Fri-Dies

We're sharing two gorgeous new dies with you all today - one set for Hanukkah and one for Christmas!    These dies cut beautiful delicate words - and for the Hanukkah set, there are two dies with both of the spellings!   Awesome!

I created the same card in two color schemes - those sentiments sparkle and shine when die cut from glitter paper!
There's more to share tomorrow, so be sure to stop back and see what the design team has created!   Can't wait to see you then!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Mistletoe Fri-Die

Good morning!   It's day three of inspiration using CAS-ual Fridays' latest release.   Today we are sharing projects made with the brand new companion die for last year's Mistletoe & Holly stamp set!   I'm so excited to have a die for this set!
I stamped the mistletoe and colored it in with Copic markers.  I used the new Mistletoe Fri-Dies to cut out the image - I love that this die cuts out those tiny spaces between the leaves!  Next I added some Nuvo drops for the berries and a sparkling gold bow (also die cut with the Mistletoe Fri-Die set).

The sentiment, from Mistletoe & Holly, was heat embossed in white to complete the card!   Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see another project using the new release!   And don't forget that the coupon code KIMBERLYSENTME is valid on anything you'd like (including the new release!!!) from the CAS-ual Fridays store.   Just enter the code at checkout!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Dashing Stamps & Dies

Hi again, crafty friends!   Today the CAS-ual Fridays design team and I are sharing projects made with the new Dashing stamps and dies!   I love this swirly, twirly die cut word, don't you?!
I started by stamping the snowflake tree from an older set, Sugar Plum Fairy, in several shades of Catherine Pooler inks.   Next, i die cut the Snow sentiment twice, once from glitter paper and once from grey cardstock, and layered them up.

I stamped the 'let it' from Dashing with grey ink, then added the layered die cut word.   I also stamped a few snowflakes from the Dashing set around the sentiment.

There you have it!    I hope you've enjoyed my card.   I'll be back again tomorrow with some more CFS goodness for you!   See you then!

Be sure to use this code if you do any shopping at CAS-ual Fridays - you'll save 15%!!!!

CAS-ual Fridays October Release - Big Hope

Hi everyone!   I hope you're having a fabulous weekend so far.   CAS-ual Fridays' fabulous October release is now available, and today the DT and I are showcasing a beautiful new die called Big Hope.   This die can be used for a number of things, but since this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and out fearless leader, Michele is a survivor of this horrible disease, I wanted to "think pink".
I blended several shades of pink Distress Oxide inks onto just half of my card, and then flicked on some water droplets for interest.   I die cut the Big Hope die and added the lightest color pink ink onto just the top half of the die.    I used the Big Hope die to cut a few more words and then stacked them all up for dimension, and adhered to the card right where the light pink ink fades to white for a tone on tone look.    I added the supporting sentiment (from Hope Ribbon) in grey ink.

I love how simple this card is - it let's that beautiful die cut word steal the show.

I hope you've enjoyed my card today - be sure to stop back over the next several days to see more inspiration using the October release!    If you are ready to order, be sure to use my special code, KIMBERLYSENTME to save 15%!    See you soon!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers & CAS-ual Fridays Collaboration Blog Hop!

Hello friends!    Today I'm participating in a fun collaboration blog hop with CAS-ual Fridays and Coffee Loving Cardmakers!   There's lots of inspiration to be found if you hop along with us....and of course, a chance to win some great prizes!
My card today uses some fantabulous CAS-ual Fridays coffee stamp sets - they are all linked below!   I started by stamping the 'I just want to drink coffee' sentiment from Coffee Talk repeatedly down the right hand side of my card panel.   This is super easy if you have a MISTI stamping tool - just place the stamp on the MISTI door and move your cardstock up or down to get the spacing however you'd like!
Next I added a hand cut banner and added the 'coffee' die cut word and the tiny coffee mug from the Coffee Cup Fri-Die set.   I finished the stamping with another sentiment from Coffee Talk.  To finish the card off, I added a coating of Glossy Accents to the die cuts.

I hope you've enjoyed my card today!   Be sure to hop along using the InLinkz tool below.    Three lucky winners will win $25 gift certificates just by leaving comments along the hop!   Remember, you can use my special code, KIMBERLYSENTME, at the CAS-ual Fridays store to save 15% on any of the goodies you've seen me use here.....and EVERYTHING else in the store as well!    Happy hopping!

CAS-ual Fridays August Release - Nate & Friday

Here we are, the last day of project shares using the new CAS-ual Fridays August release!   Today the design team has lots of fun projects to share using the new Nate & Friday stamp set!
This set is so cute, and it has some of the most awesome sentiments for dog lovers!   Warm snuggles and slobbery kisses?   Who could resist?!
I created the blue background panel by masking off the edges of a piece of bristol cardstock with 1/4" painters tape.   I blended shades of blue Distress Oxide inks across the panel, then added stenciled hearts in the darkest blue ink.  I stamped and heat embossed that fantastic sentiment in white.   I stamped the sweet pup and fussy cut him out and added him to the top of the card.

That's all for today.  I hope you've enjoyed checking out the design team's projects using the new August release! Be sure to stop by the CAS-ual Fridays blog for a chance to win an awesome prize!!   The new release is in available the store now, and you can use my discount code, KIMBERLYSENTME, to save 15% on the new release as well as all of the goodies in the CFS shop!    Happy shopping!

CAS-ual Fridays August Release - Bushy Tailed

Are you ready for another project using one of the brand new stamp/die sets from the CAS-ual Fridays August release?!

Today the design team is sharing projects using the super cute new Bushy Tailed stamp set.   This set has coordinating Fri-dies as well!

I colored the little raccoon with Copic markers and used the coordinating die to cut him out.   I used an X-acto knife to cut around his little paws so that I could slip the heart die cut (also part of the set) into his paws!  I set the scene with some die cuts from MFT.

That's all for today.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for one more day of inspiration using the new August release! And be sure to stop by the CAS-ual Fridays blog for a chance to win an awesome prize!!   The new release is in the store RIGHT NOW, and you can use my discount code, KIMBERLYSENTME, to save 15% on the new release as well as all of the goodies in the CFS shop!    Enjoy!

CAS-ual Fridays August Release - Foxy

Hello again!  Welcome back for day two of inspiration with the new CAS-ual Fridays August release!

Today we are sharing projects using my FAVORITE stamp set from the new release - Foxy!  Isn't this set awesome?!   It combines adorable and elegant so well!

Because Foxy is just so elegant, I wanted to stamp him in gold.   I used my MISTI and first stamped him in brown ink.   Next I colored him in with Prismacolor pencils.   Once he was all colored in, I stamped again with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.   I find it easier to color before I heat emboss - then I don't have to struggle getting the color in all of the tight spots!

That's all for today, but be sure to come back tomorrow for some more inspiration using the new August release! And be sure to stop by the CAS-ual Fridays blog for a chance to win an awesome prize!!   If you just can't wait to go shopping, the new release is in the store RIGHT NOW!    And you can use my discount code, KIMBERLYSENTME, to save 15% on the new release as well as all of the goodies in the CFS shop!    Enjoy!

CAS-ual Fridays August Release - Be A Unicorn

Hi there!   It's time to start showcasing CAS-ual Fridays fabulous August release!    First up, the design team has projects to share using the "Be a Unicorn" stamp set and the "Unicorn" Fri-Die!

I started by creating an alcohol inked card panel.   Next I die cut just half of the unicorn from the alcohol inked piece.   I stamped the unicorn in the negative space with Versamark ink, then heat embossed with a beautiful WOW embossing glitter.   I colored the unicorn in with a white Prismacolor pencil.   To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink onto the alcohol ink panel and heat embossed with a silver embossing powder.   (Be warned - when heat embossing on Yupo paper, you have to be VERY careful not to melt the paper.   Go at it slowly!)

I couldn't just throw out that partial unicorn I die cut from the alcohol ink panel, so I made a second quick and easy card by just adding some glitter to the unicorn's horn and adhering it to a white card panel.   I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed with purple embossing powder.

Enjoy!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hello and happy weekend!  I've got a card today for the Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!   I've used all CAS-ual Fridays stamps and dies for this one...

I stamped the coffee beans from Peace, Love & Coffee onto the Scallop Tag Fri-die, and added the sentiment from Coffee Talk .   I colored the mug from Serendipi-tea with Copic markers and adhered it to the tag with foam dots.  To finish the card off, I layered some coordinating cardstock and added baker's twine to the hole in the tag.  My favorite part is the Glossy Accents added to the coffee in the mug!

Have you had a chance to create a coffee/tea card for the blog hop?!   I always love this hop - it's  so fun and I love to see what everyone creates - there is SOOOO MUCH coffee goodness out there in crafty-land!
