Chibitronics & CAS-ual Fridays Bloghop!

Hello!   Welcome to my stop on the CAS-ual Fridays/Chibitronics two day Bloghop!   I hope you've been inspired by all of the great projects you've seen along the way!
For my card, I kept it pretty simple because the Chibitronics lights steal the show!  I stamped the awesome sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays' Whole Shebang stamp set across the top of my card.   I handcut the candles from patterned paper and the flames from vellum and placed them across the bottom of the card.   I wanted to light just two of the candles, so I decided where my flames would go and poked holes through the cardstock below to let the light shine through nice & bright.

I created my circuit on a separate piece of lightweight cardstock.   These lights are really quite easy to work with!  It only took me a few minutes to create the circuit - what an impact!

To finish off the card, I colored the HB2U in with Copic markers and adhered the circuit panel to the focal panel.   Voila!   How cute is that?   I'm sure the recipient will love this interactive card!

Just one more stop on the hop.....head on over to CAS-ual Fridays next!   Be sure to comment on all the blogs from both days of the hop (Friday and Saturday).   You could win a Starter Pack from Chibitronics or a $30 gift code for the CAS-ual Fridays store!    The entire hop list for Saturday is listed below if you've gotten lost along the way....

Autumn Greeetings

Hello and happy Friday!   I hope everyone is doing well and is staying safe from all of the horrible weather we've been experiencing across the United States!

I'm finally starting my Fall crafting, and today's card was just so much fun to make!   I started by adding alcohol inks to glossy paper with an ink blending tool, then I die cut the leaves from CAS-ual Fridays' Acorn Fri-Dies.  Such fun Autumn colors can be achieved this way!!

I adhered the leaves in a circular wreath shape, and stamped and heat embossed the greeting, from CAS-ual Fridays' Autumn Blessings, with copper embossing powder.

Remember to use the special coupon code, KIMBERLY2017 to save 15% on any purchase you make over at the CAS-ual Fridays shop!    There are still a few $5 stamp sets (!!!!!) available for purchase, and the code is good on those as well!!  Enjoy!

September A Blog Named Hero Challenge

Hello there!   It's time for the September A Blog Named Hero Challenge!   This time the theme is 'One Layer', and the collaboration partner is a company near and dear to my heart - CAS-ual Fridays!    I'm a Girl Friday over at CFS, and I'm thrilled to be using both Hero Arts and CAS-ual Fridays for this month's cards!

I used quite a few products on this one layer wonder - you'l find them all listed below!   To begin, I die cut the tag die from a piece of thin cardstock and then placed the stencil below it.   I sponged some ink through the stencil and negative die cut to create the background for my adorable mermaid silhouette.   I stamped the mermaid several times using my MISTI and  once satisfied with the ink coverage, I stamped again with Versamark and heat embossed with glitter embossing powder.   I stamped the sentiment by partially inking the words so they'd tuck in nicely around the mermaid's tail.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today and I also hope you join in the challenge this month!   One layer cards are difficult, but I was so pleased with how this turned out....can't wait to see what you create!
