Many Thanks!!

Hello there!    Thanks for stopping by today!   Sorry I've been absent from the blog for the most part over the last few weeks - it's felt great to get back to crafting these last few days.   It really is a great emotional outlet!   Anywho - on to today's card!

I'm kind of in love with this one - I think it's all the bright colors!   I used CAS-ual Fridays' 'Thanks" stamp set to create this fun card.   I stamped several of the marquee letter sentiments in different directions on my white card panel in a variety of Lawn Fawn ink colors.

Then to make things even more bold, I stamped the large sentiment with Versamark ink onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed with several colors of bright Zing embossing powder.  They were a perfect match to the ink colors, and really pulled everything together!

If you like what you see and want to do some shopping over at CAS-ual Fridays, remember you can always use the code KIMBERLY2017 to save 15%!!  Awesome, right?!  Have a great Sunday, crafty friends!

You Glow, Girl!!

http://www.ablognamedhero.com/2017/06/challenge-interactive-with-chibitronics-part-one/

Hello friends!   It's time for another round of inspiration over at A Blog Named Hero!   This month's collaboration partner is Chibitronics, and our theme is interactive.   I created another light up card for you today!

I used a Hero Arts stencil and Hero Arts Ombre Inks on a piece of white cardstock and once finished, I smooshed a Versamark ink pad over top of the stencil, added clear embossing powder and heat set it.   Next, i added black ink over top of the entire piece - the Versamark resists the ink, and lets the colors show through!   Just give it a quick wipe with a paper towel to remove the ink that remains on the Versamark.

I used a small star punch I found in my stash to punch star shaped holes in three of the embossed stars.

Creating the circut is really easy!   Just line up a slightly smaller piece of paper behind the focal panel and mark where you want the lights to be.   Then follow the easy instructions included in the Chibitronics kit.....really, I swear it's not too hard!

The sentiment, from Hero Arts' You Glow Girl was perfect for the theme!   I stamped in Versamark and embossed with Wow embossing powder.  A few Nuvo Drops added the final embellishment!

Thanks for stopping by today!   I hope you join in on the fun 'Interactive' challenge over at A Blog Named Hero (it can be anything interactive....you don't need to make it light up!!).    Can't wait to see what you create!
