We've reached day three of the November reveal!   I want to take a minute to wish all of my U.S. friends a very Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!   Tomorrow you'll find a release recap and Black Friday sale preview over on the NND blog!

Check out today's gorgeous new stamp set - which also has coordinating dies!   Introducing Serene Silhouettes!
holiday card by Kimberly Rendino | Newton's Nook | Serene Silhouettes | birch trees | deer | bear | shaker card | sequins

I created a shaker for my focal piece.   I stamped and heat embossed the birch trees on my backer piece as well as a few on my vellum front.   The shaker is filled with white Flower Soft and sparkling clear sequins fro Pretty Pink Posh.  I added some snow with a paint pen to the top side of the vellum and around the circle frame. I stamped the deer and bear onto black cardstock with Versafine ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.   I then ran them through my die cutting machine.   The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in blue.

Newton's Nook Designs November Release - Fireside Friends & Sweater Weather

It's day two of reveal week, and we have two FABULOUS new stamp sets (one with coordinating dies!)  to share with you today!

My first card uses the super adorable Fireside Friends stamp set.   How cozy do these kitties & pup look?

I kept this card nice and simple, with the focus on the coloring.

Next we have Sweater Weather and the coordinating die set!    I couldn't figure out which critter I wanted to use first, but the bunny won!

I created my background using a chevron die.   I blended with Distress Inks and then shifted the die and added another layer.   I think a bit like a knit texture, how about you?

I stamped and die cut the bunny and colored her in with Copics.   I created my scene using several dies from Li'l Inker Designs and then adhered my bunny offset.    I like how soft and yet bright this card turned out!

Newton's Nook Designs November Release - Joyful Tags

Hello!    Are you ready for some more awesome holiday goodies from Newton's Nook?   Today we're showing off a fun new stamp set, Joyful Tags, which coordinates with the Tags Times Two dies!

holiday card by Kimberly Rendino | Newton's Nook Designs | kimpletekreativity.blogspot.com | cardmaking | handmade card | papercraft | christmas | ho ho ho

I envisioned my card as a present, so I used dotted patterned paper as my "wrap" and red cardstock as my "ribbon".   I stamped one of the fun tags from Joyful Tags with Versamark ink and selectively added both red and white embossing powder  and then heat embossed.   I really like how some of the white powder scattered - it looks like snow!

I used some bakers twine to add the tag to my red cardstock, and added some further embellishment with die cuts from the Pines & Holly die set, released last month.

Hope you've enjoyed my card!   Be sure to stop back tomorrow for release reveal #2!

Colorful Baubles

Hello there, and happy Tuesday!   I'm sharing this sweet card on the Newton's Nook Designs' blog today using the new stamp set, Beautiful Baubles.   Isn't it fun!?!

Beautiful Baubles card by Kimberly Rendino | Newton's Nook Designs | holiday card | handmade card | Christmas | ornaments | back stamping | cardmaking | kimpletekreativity.blogspot.com

I used back stamping to get the look - I stamped the ornaments using the BACK SIDE to achieve a solid shape with several colors of Lawn Fawn Ink.   I then went back and stamped the details using the correct side of the stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed everything with white embossing powder.   Some Nuvo Drops scattered about added a bit of bling!

I hope you've enjoyed my card today.   See you again soon!

Be Strong When You Feel Weak

Well hello there!   I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today with a bright and bold card that will serve as a great reminder to someone going through a tough time.

I stamped the butterfly from 'Be' with Versamark ink and carefully applied several colors of embossing powder to get this look.   A quick tip is to use a straw cut at an angle to pick up just a bit of powder and apply directly where you want it.   I love how bright and bold the butterfly is!   It goes nicely with that fabulous sentiment, also from 'Be'.

Remember to use coupon code KIMBERLY16 if you plan to do any shopping at the CAS-ual Fridays store  to save yourself 15%!

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 3 - Newton's Nook Designs!

Hi again, crafty friends!   Today is day three of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, and today's sponsor is Newton's Nook Designs!   Be sure to check out Tracey's blog for more information on how to link up your own tag, as well as enter to win prizes!

My tag was created with the new Beautiful Baubles stamp  & die set.   I stamped the ornament on kraft paper and colored it in with my Inktense pencils.   To blend the colors, I went over everything with my Spectrum Noir sparkle marker and then coated the ornament with Glossy Accents.  My color scheme for this tag reminds me of a peacock!  I let the ornament steal the show, and only added some sparkle washi tape and my to/from sentiment from Jolly Tags.

Hope you've enjoyed my tag today!   See you again soon!

25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 1 - CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!

Hello!  CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is a proud sponsor of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags series.   For more information on how to win some awesome prizes, head over to  Tracey's blog!

Here's a fun tag using several CFS sets - Holly Jolly Borders, Sleigh Ride & Christmas Sparkle and the super-duper useful Tag Buddies Fri-Dies.

I stamped the chevron from Holly Jolly Borders with several shades of green ink to create an ombre effect on my tag.   I stamped and heat embossed the words from Christmas Sparkle with black embossing powder.   The holly, from Sleigh Ride was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.   I adhered them with foam tape for some fun dimension.   The finishing touch is some red ribbon and jingle bells - how festive is that?!

Remember that if you want to do some shopping you can use code KIMBERLY16 to save 15%.    Some of the sets I used today are on sale already, and the savings can be stacked!!   Woo-hoo!
