Hello my friends! It's March 17 - not only is it St. Patrick's Day, it's also Calling All Sistahs Hop day, so we are hopping along to remind you that it's time to do your monthly self-breast exam!
**In case you aren't aware, every month on the 17th, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps hosts a fun blog hop to remind you that it's time to do a self-breast exam. This helped Michele, the owner of CFS, find and have her breast cancer diagnosed in a timely manner - and she's doing GREAT now! You can find out more HERE!** Want to be part of next month's hop? We'd love to have you! For more info, visit our Facebook group!
For my card today, I stamped the flowers from Loving Thoughts with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink and then heat embossed with iridescent embossing powder. They sparkle and shine so much in real life - I tried my best to capture it for you in the photo ;) I stamped the sentiment (from Calling All Sistahs ) and the butterfly (from Be) with Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossed with clear powder. I cut the sentiment strip, cutting around the top part of the butterfly, and adhered it to the card with foam tape. I wanted to let the background shine, so to tie the sentiment strip in with the rest of the card, I heat embossed a single butterfly (also from Be) directly on the card base.
Be sure to hop along for the chance to win a prize from CAS-ual Fridays! Comments must be made by 12 a.m. EST on March 19. Now head over to Penny's blog to see what she's created!!
