June Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop!

It's that time of the month, ladies!    I'm here with a reminder to check yourself....it could just save your life!   I'm sharing an encouraging card - perfect for a friend or loved one who has been dealt a tough hand.  I love this sentiment!!

To create my card, I used the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die to do some  partial die cutting.   I cut just the top portion of the ribbon and then scored my piece of cardstock and folded so that the ribbon stands straight up and is part of my card base (the card is still 4.25 x 5.5" from the top of the ribbon to the bottom of the card).   Here's a side view picture to show you what I mean!

I  used some pale shades of Copic markers to color a diagonal rainbow on some cardstock and then stamped and heat embossed the ribbon from the Hope Ribbon die over the top with white EP.    I die cut the ribbon, again with the Ruffled Ribbon Fri-die and adhered it to the card just at the top, leaving the ribbon ends free of adhesive for some cool dimension.

The sentiment, from Calling All Sistahs, was heat embossed with silver embossing powder, and a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finished off the card.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today, and that the monthly hop has served to remind you to take a few minutes and do a self-breast exam!   Be sure to hop along and leave comments - I hear there will be prizes to be won!  :)
