CAS-ual Fridays/Imagine Crafts Blog Hop!

Hi friends!!   Today the Girl Fridays from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps are teaming up with Imagine Crafts and their designers to bring you a super fun collab blog hop!   I was excited to have the chance to work with some awesome products from Imagine Crafts - wait till you see what I've created!

I opted to try a new-to-me product from Imagine Crafts called Vertigo - these are really awesome sheets of a plastic-like material that reflects and refracts light.   You can die cut them, ink them (use pigment ink or Staz-On), stamp on them.....lots of possibilities!    I used the Rattlesnake Vertigo 6x6 sheets and die cut a tag using the CFS Tag Buddies dies.   I inked the back side of the tag with Memento Luxe inks in Dandelion and Lilac Posies ink, overlapping to create a third, orange color.   It looks so awesome in real life!    The picture can't quite capture how amazing it looks when you tilt it back and forth!   I die cut another tag from white cardstock to use as a backer because I didn't want my striped background to show through.

Once I had the tag finished up, I set to work on the rest of the card.   I used the lotus flower image from the CFS set, Mon Ami, and heat embossed it on black cardstock, colored it in with colored pencils and then die cut it with the matching Mon Ami Fleur Fri-Die.   I used some Nuvo Drops for a bit of dimension!   I stamped the sentiment, also from Mon Ami,  and heat embossed it in white.   I trimmed the sentiment strip, added some stitched lines with a white gel pen and notched the ends.  I added the sentiment strip and some ribbon to the tag and adhered it to the striped panel.   I adhered the flower to the corner of the tag with some foam adhesive - and that finished off my card!

I hope you're having a fantastic time hopping along with us.   Be sure to comment at all the stops on the hop for your chance to win one of two great prizes from CAS-ual Fridays and Imagine Crafts!   Your next stop on the hop is Mark Melnick's blog!!
