Sharing Some Awesome News!

Oh my goodness, I've been waiting to spill the beans about this for awhile now, and I'm so excited today is the day......I'm now part of the amazing  CAS-ual Fridays Design Team!!!   See?   Told ya it was awesome news!  

And now I have a card to share (of course)!    

I die cut the oval links with the Linked Fri-Dies from a 4 x 5.25" panel of  black cardstock and set the links aside for another use (I just wanted to use the negative space the links created for the black cardstock piece).   I die cut the links again from white cardstock so I could do some die cut inlay once the rest of the panel was completed.  I die cut the word ' Friend' using the Friend Fri-Die and stamped the rest of the sentiment (from the Girlfriend stamp set) in Versamark and heat embossed it in white.  I flipped the panel over and inlaid the white link pieces and then added a piece of acetate over the top.   Next came some foam tape (a LOT of foam tape!!!) and some pink and turquoise microbeads to fill in the sentiment.   To keep the microbeads in place, I adhered a piece of white cardstock and then flipped my panel upright again.   I mounted the panel onto the cardbase and added some color to my links by inlaying some more negative pieces from the Linked Fri-Dies in turquoise and pink.    That finishes off the card!   Sounds a little complicated, but really it was just a lot of layering.
