Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Tag Sampler

Hello there!   Today we are sharing the second stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs for the month of April, "Tag Sampler".   This is going to make a lot of you very happy!    If you are a knitter, crocheter or sewer, you need this stamp set in your life!

I, unfortunately, am not a knitter, crocheter or sewer, lol!   My mom, however, can crochet, and was in the middle of making a baby blanket when this stamp set made it's way to me.   She was more than happy to let me photograph her blanket in return for a card and tag, lol!

I love that this stamp set coordinates with the tag die from Tags Times Two!   I stamped the sentiment onto some pastel patterned paper with Versamark and heat embossed it in white.   I stamped (and heat embossed) the "crocheted" block onto some matching cardstock and fussy cut it out and adhered it to my tag with foam tape for some dimension.   The card uses a cute baby sticker I had in my stash and the sentiment, from Fanciful Florals, was heat embossed with silver EP.

I had several cute stickers and I figured I might as well make two cards, one for my mom to give with the gift, and one to have on hand as part of my card stash!   This was all super simple to make, but is a nice, coordinated look for gift-giving!  Now I just need to figure out how to knit and/or crochet, lol!

  3. Thanks for the confession as I was really, really jealous when I saw that gorgeous blanket... both my grandmothers tried to teach me to crochet and gave up. Wish they knew I can at least do cards! : )

  8. This is lovely! I love the soft pastel colors you used on the tag and card! It's always a good idea to make extra cards to have on hand. Sometimes if I like a design I will make two so I have an extra too :)
