Hello crafty friends! I had to put my new Winnie & Walter stamps to good use, so I thought I'd play along with their first challenge, Playdate #1! Head over to the Winnie & Walter blog to play along!
This is a photo inspiration challenge, and I used the little girl's shirt as my inspiration. The colors were so spring-y (and trust me....I'm feeling the need for spring)! I used some Dear Lizzy pattern paper as my background and added the wonderful sentiments from The Big, The Bold, & The Happy set. the flower border uses The Write Stuff: Leave it to Mom set with a little extra Copic shading on the leaves, some Wink of Stella glitter pen (but of course!) and some Doodlebug pearls. I added some flecks of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Coral to finish the card off.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend so far. If I'm lucky I'll get a little more crafting time in tomorrow before heading over to my parents' house for Sunday dinner!

Another Challenge Card!
Here's the ultimate in CAS....at least for me it is, lol!! This cutie uses Lawn Fawn's Here's the Scoop and lots of my Wink of Stella glitter pen. To make the background perfectly match the coloring on the ice cream, I used the same Copic marker to color it in then added Wink of Stella over the top. Dashes of Wink of Stella over all the toppings, etc. finished it off! This card will be entered into both the Lawnscaping challenge (CAS) and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (Glitter It!) Paper Smooches Sparks Entry
Got a chance to put together a CAS card for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge today as well! Busy, busy! I created a watercolor background using distress markers and water and then cut it into strips to make the border for my chalkboard greeting. So bright and cheery!

Make it Monday with PTI
Melissa made a gorgeous card for this week's MIM, and I was so inspired! For the first time ever, I used paint on one of my PTI impression plates. While I didn't have the same type of paint that she used, I tried it with Distress Paint and it worked just fine. The color was close to PTI's Sweet Blush, so that's what I went with for the rest of the card. I embossed the Harvest Berries gingko leaves in white on vellum and went over it with some gold distress paint. I also used the heart border upside down to create the tiny scallops. A few sequins (but of course!) and it was finished. I am ahead of the game here with a Mother's Day card!! Fine by me....I love having things ready to go!
This is the first of three posts today....I've been busy in the craft room all day! Not much else to do, as it is STILL snowing in NY. Unreal! Maybe we will skip spring and head straight into summer? One can dream, I guess, lol!!
