Make It Monday time!
I played along with the PTI Make It Monday challenge #153, Watercolored backgrounds w/ heat embossed sentiments. I made a rainbow stripe pattern and then heat embossed the sentiment in white. Some sequins were the finishing touch! Hope everyone is having a great Monday.....well, as good as Mondays can be, lol!!!!

A few card shares....
Happy almost Friday! I meant to post yesterday, but just got too darn busy! I have a card today for the WPlus9 bday celebration. This was all about dimension, so I propped up a lot of my elements on pop dots and added some white heat embossing. I used Quilt Prints and cut two sections out and stamped some directly on the card base (hope that makes sense)! I used a tiny flower from Fresh Cut Florals as an accent piece and used some scraps from the Quilt Prints for leaves.
I also participated in the latest Papertrey contest. This one was so cool! We had to roll a die for each of nine different categories. By doing that, we had the "building blocks" to create a card! My elements ended up being the colors Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Harvest Gold and Kraft, ribbon, buttons and spray mist. I also had to roll to determine the type of card (birthday) and which sketch I had to use. Here's what I came up with!
The weekend is almost here! Can you feel it?!?!

I NEVER use ribbon, so that was quite a challenge for me. I took the ribbon and threaded it with some floss to create a little flower and added the button for the center. Turned out too cute! And I sprayed the ink through a mask to come up with the perfect color combo!
And last but not least, a Valentine for my hubby. I succeeded (I think) in not making it too "girly". It's a manly man Valentine, lol! And he will get a kick out of the funny little creature.....

Today was a GOOD day. Got the news that some testing I had done recently showed no cancer cells!!! Such a relief!!!!

PTI contest card
HToday's challenge was simple! Create a birthday card in honor of PTI's 7th Birthday!! I broke out around Repeats, which, sadly, I'd never inked up before now. They are so FUN to use!!

One more for today....
Another card from Papertrey's free printable! The background here is done with a Tim Holtz stencil and Viva modeling cream in Pearl. I went over it with blue shades of Distress ink and popped up the fussy cut element on foam tape. A thin strip of coordinating paper and some enamel dots finished this one off nicely! Hope you have time to play along with this fun contest! Wish I had time to create more, but dinner calls......
Papertrey 7th Anniversary Festivities!
Here is a card created from the free printable PTI provided this morning. How fun!!! This one is by Erin Lincoln. I cut apart the words Love You and added them to my splattered background. I added a few hearts from the Happy Hearts set (the striped one) and added some lines with a pen to imitate the plaid in the words. Popped some of the elements up with foam and glued some flat. I love how that looks! I coated the whole thing with glitter mist - I'm a little addicted to that stuff!! Hope you enjoy!
