Sweet Strawberries!

Hello there!   I've been having fun using lots of new stamping goodies I received around/for Christmas.   Yesterday I spent some time playing with the Strawberry Layers stamp set from Strawberry Jude.    There are a ton of layers to create these awesome strawberries, and the results are so impressive!   They look good enough to eat!   Several of my "color experiments" were good enough that I decided to put them to use on some cards!

First up is my favorite - this one uses a die cut sentiment from Li'l Inker, the stamped sentiment from Sunny Studio, a die from MFT and paper from Gina K.    Lots of my favorites here!

The next card uses a sentiment from MFT, scallop border die from Simon Says Stamp and paper from Lawn Fawn.

Have a fantastic weekend!   See you next week! :)

Santa's Tic-Tac-Toe Magnetic Board Game

Well hello!   I have been looking at all of the awesome holiday stamps sitting on my desk, and trying to think of ways to use them other than for traditional Christmas cards.   I absolutely adore the Sunny Studio Christmas Icons stamp set and thought that I could use several of the images to create a cute magnetic tic-tac-toe board that everyone can play throughout the holiday season!

I had an unfinished easel magnet board kit, so I pulled it out and started my project by using Mod-Podge to adhere several holiday patterned papers to the board.   Once dry, I added the magnetic piece with double sided tape.

I stamped the snowman and Santa images and colored them in with Copic markers.   I used my Scan-n-Cut machine to cut them out with a small border, and saved the file so that I could also cut them again from magnet paper.   I made sure to cut the mirror image (reverse)  - and this time I cut them without the border so they'd fit just right.  You can see what I mean about the mirror image in the picture below - see how the holly leaves in the snowman's hat are on the opposite side of the magnetic piece?

I stamped and heat embossed the game title with the Sweet Script alphabet set and cut it into a banner shape.   I added a piece of magnet to the back of this as well.

The board itself is made up of leftover pieces of  the magnet sheet - they aren't perfect, but they are completely fine for this!

I love that everything is removable!   I can use the easel without the game title and board to keep shopping lists, addresses, etc. handy with the cute snowman and Santa magnets when the game isn't in use!

Thanks for stopping by today!   Hope you've enjoyed my project.    See you again soon!

Sunny Studio Fisthtail Banner Die Challenge!

Hello there, friends!   Happy Friday!   I am sitting here, drinking my pumpkin spice coffee and enjoying the wonderful fall weather here in NY.    The leaves aren't yet changing, but fall is on my mind, so when thinking of what kind of card I wanted to enter for the Sunny Studio Fishtail Banner Challenge, of course I chose an autumn one!

I started by stamping the GORGEOUS fall leaves from the Sunny Studio Autumn Splendor stamp set on a piece of cream cardstock.  Next, I used the two stitched/pierced Fishtail Banner II dies and ran them through my die cutting machine repeatedly to create the fun texture.  I finished the die cutting with the scalloped die.  I added a few flecks of gold paint to the panel and then mounted it on foam adhesive to a piece of fun autumn patterned paper from Echo Park.

Thanks for stopping by!

You're a Good Egg!

Hi everyone!   I'm stopping by this evening with a fun card made with the adorable Sunny Studio stamp set A Good Egg!

This has got to be one of the cutest stamp sets ever!   I spent a good share of the day today making Easter cards - and while this one isn't strictly for Easter, I love how it turned out!   I stamped and heat embossed the chick in his egg with Versafine and clear EP.   I created a mask by stamping the image again on masking paper and using it to cover up the embossed image.   I was then easily able to stamp several eggs so that they appear behind my little chick friend!   I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils  - I love how vivid the white looks on the kraft cardstock!   I framed the image with an MFT frame die and mounted it on several layers of paper from Doodlebug.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today.   Have a fabulous Easter with family and friends, everyone!   See you again soon.

Bundled Up Birthday!

* For my Inky Paws Challenge card, click HERE*

Hello there! We made it to Friday! Do I hear a big sigh of relief? Yep....me too! Today I am sharing a card made with an adorable set called Bundled Up from the new-to-me company Sunny Studio Stamps. I cannot believe I didn't use the cute penguin included in the set, but hey....there's always next time!

To create this card, I black heat embossed all the winter gear and then colored them in with Copics.   I added some snowflakes to fill in the gaps and embossed them with sparkle embossing powder.   It's so hard to capture the shine in a photograph!     I also added some dots with a Pico embellisher.   I love how this turned out!   So happy and colorful for a winter birthday!
