Lil' Inker Designs April Release - Day 2

Welcome back for day two of the Lil' Inker Designs April release!    Today I've got a few colorful projects to share with you!

This card uses the beautiful new One Love stamps and dies.   To create the multi-colored look, I inked up my stamp with Distress Oxide inks and a sponge dauber, one color at a time, making sure to overlap each a bit to get a nice blend.   I love how vivid it looks!   Once I had the heart completely stamped with the Oxides, I stamped again with Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.   I used the coordinating die set to cut out the heart.   The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock and adhered it across the heart with foam adhesive.   The entire piece was added to a background embossed with the Quilted Stitch Pattern  Die.

Next up is a watercolored graduation card perfect for either a guy or gal.   Lil' Inker has a graduation set called Grad Class available in the store - this stamp set was released last year, so it has stamps referencing 2017 included in it.   It was time for an update, so here we have Grad Class 2018!   This mini set is just $5, while the older stamp set is on sale for $10 - this way you can buy both for the price of your typical stamp set!  Pretty cool, right!?

I created the watercolor background by dripping a few drops of Avery Elle liquid watercolors along the top of my watercolor paper and panting stripes.  I cut the watercolor paper and added it to the top and bottom of a 4.25 x 5.5" card.   I added the sentiment from Go Confidently directly to the card base.    To personalize the card for a 2018 grad, I stamped the sentiment onto a watercolored star from the Ornamental Christmas Tag die set.   I added some glitter, and adhered it with foam adhesive to complete the card!

  8. These are both very pretty. Love how you split your w/c panel on the 2nd card and added the black border; very striking. And I'm always a fan of a rainbow of color. If only we could achieve that in the world. :-)
