Newton's Nook Designs July Release & 2 Year Celebration - Day 3

Welcome back to day three of the NND July release & 2 year celebration!   Today's new set is called Message in a Bottle - and there are matching dies available for this set as well!

Message in a bottle card by Kimberly Rendino for Newton's Nook Designs | ship | nautical | anchors

I love how this turned out!   I made my own background paper with the anchor stamp.   To make it a little more weathered and distressed, I used my ink blending tool and some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I die cut three bottles -  one out of the background paper, one out of light blue paper and one out of acetate.    I inset the light blue piece into my background paper, and positioned the die cut ship where I wanted it.   I then layered the stamped acetate bottle over the top.

I hope you've had a great time hopping along - aren't the new sets and the dies awesome this month? Be sure to enter to win!  See you soon with some more fun stuff! ;)
