Crafting Frenzy Day 3

I got three more cards done today....this morning, actually! First is a card using homemade mist! I like how this turned out.

Next is a card using the limited ingredients. Not totally happy with this, but I worked with it....

Last, I've got my favorite. This was from the Breakfast Bake & Take using a color palette and sketch.

Crafting Frenzy Day 2

Today I got a few more of the challenges from Stamp-A-Fair completed. Yay! First up is a scratch & sniff card. Turned out so cute, and it really smells like grapes!

Next I have a card that uses shrinky dinks! Ha! I was so excited to learn that i can use my heat gun instead of the oven to make these. I coated the snowflakes with prisma glitter too, but that doesn't show up in the picture.

Finally, I have a card that uses paper clay. I was really surprised at how like Fun Foam this turned out after it air dried. Not sure how much I'm loving this technique. I think maybe with flowers I'd like it better....

All in all, it was a pretty productive day! Maybe I'll even be able to get a couple more cards done in the morning!

Stamp-A-Fair 2013

Today starts Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Fair....a whole day of crafting tutorials and fun! I've been interrupted at every turn, so I haven't gotten as much done today as I would've liked. I was able to complete Nichole's sea salt technique....here are the results!

I also got my sister-in-law's wedding card done today using Betsey's gallon, quart, pint challenge. I am pretty happy with how this one turned out. I love the colors in this card...hope she does too!

I really hope to get some more done tomorrow, but I doubt it, lol! Wish me luck ;)

Inky Paws Challenge #1

So I was excited to see that there's a challenge over at Newton's Nook, a new stamp company with the cutest stamps! I had to have the Newton's Antics set as soon as I saw it...I'm such a sucker for anything with kitties! I created one card with the Newton's Antics set and one card using the free digi image. They came out pretty cute if I do say so myself, lol! Check out Newton's Nook if you haven't already!

Final Days of Card Camp 2....

I can't believe class is nearly over!!  I was able to get a few cards done today, the first being this one for my cutie patootie nephew's first birthday!   I used the additional color combo #1.  I'll be back tomorrow with some more....

Card Camp projects

Here are a couple projects from Card Camp.  These are from yesterday not today....I haven't had a chance to get to today's projects. Hopefully I'll be able to get something accomplished tomorrow - I'm really looking forward to it because the techniques Jennifer shared were really cool!   And I happen to have that verdigris embossing powder she used....what are the odds, lol!!

This next card uses my new Newton's Nook stamps....ordered them Saturday, had them on Monday!!!  Wow, great service!   Love the kitty stamps!

Make it Monday/Card Camp W3, D1

I played along with PTI's Make it Monday today.  The technique Betsy shared was to create a 3-D looking effect using a die cut word.  I chose the hello die and this was actually more difficult than most MIM's for me.  It turned out okay....I'm not 100% satisfied but I think it looks pretty good.  I was also able to use the color combo for  Card Camp 2 (purple, aqua, tan, brown and raspberry).  Yay!!!   I find this week's colors easier than last week.  I think I had a hard time last week because I considered those colors more "manly", lol!!  

I also got a card done for the first week's card camp color combo.  I started in week 2, so I'm slowly getting there!!  I love how this turned out.   Using Copics on the paper before I die cut the word worked awesome!!
