Card Camp , W2, D4

Yay!!   I got another card done for class today!!   The challenge was to use a holiday stamp in a non-holiday way.   I looked through my stamps and settled on a Lawn Fawn set and used the gingerbread house as a regular house. Ironically enough, with all my stamps I ended up using the same sentiment that I used on yesterday's card.  What are the odds?!  I thought this would make a really cute housewarming card.  Again, these colors are really hard for me. I really wanted to use brighter colors....those flowers are just begging to be red, lol!!

Here is another Papertrey Make it Monday card. Dawn showed us banner borders so I used papers from the Simon Says Stamp May card kit as well as PTI. The harvest berries sprig was an afterthought.....had to hide some accidental ink smearage, lol!

A New Make It Monday!

Well it's about time I played along with another MIM challenge!! This card is especially for the owners of a little bistro nearby that, sadly, (oh, SO sadly!) will be closing soon. The attention to detail that was put into everything they did there will be sorely missed!!! So.....since attention to detail is what they are known for, I put some extra time and effort into this card. All of the strawberry pieces are cut from patterned paper. The stamps and doily die are Papertrey.

Papertrey Make It Monday - Clear Card Base

Well, I've had the clear cardstock for ages and have never used it....apparently I needed the challenge, lol! This is for my son's birthday tomorrow. I think he will like it....I always try to do something "different" for my kids' birthday cards. Have a goodie!! :)

Papertrey 6th Anniversary

Here are a couple of cards I did for entry into Papertrey's big contest. The first is based on a design by Maile Belles and the second is based on a card by Danielle Flanders. I had a great day of creating yesterday. I can hardly wait to get back to it tomorrow. Today I was derailed by an urgent care visit for my son....probable fractured wrist....boooo!!!

More Clean and Simple Cards!

Tonight I got to try out Laura's plaid stamping technique and I was pretty pleased with the results...with a bit more practice i'm sure it'll get easier!

I also made a custom ink pad and that turned out pretty cool too!

I signed up for Online Card Classes CAS 2 the other day ( a bit late!) but I finally had a chance to get a card done this morning, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! Inktense colored pencils are so fun to use!!! I highly recommend them :)
